  • Proven track record of winning trials for individuals and business clients in a wide range of legal situations, since 1987.
  • Won an oppressed shareholder dispute case in 2007 for a client alleging his interest was marginalized in a closely held corporation, obtaining an award of $3 million.
  • Regularly handled business matters, employment agreements and employment issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination cases, for individuals and corporate clients of the firm.
  • Consistently won personal injury trials and also obtained numerous substantial settlements on behalf of plaintiffs in lawsuits, during the last 20 years.
  • Founder and managing partner of Fruehling & Stevens, from 1995-2003, responsible for all personnel, payroll/office, and computer responsibilities.
  • Obtained extremely favorable dispositions in representation of lawyers in attorney ethics cases and as defense expert in legal malpractice actions.
  • In 2003, negotiated the purchase price and brokered the sale of client's international wholesale clothing business based in Nashville, Tennessee.
  • Court-appointed volunteer mediator primarily for business disputes, Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County, from 2001 to present.
  • During personal injury trials in New Jersey Superior Court in 1997 and 1998, obtained settlements for clients of $785,000.00 and $650,000.00, among the top reported personal injury settlements in New Jersey for 1997 and 1998.
  • In 2008, successfully defended attorney in lawsuit brought by former law firm, alleging breach of contract and legal malpractice, resulting in no liability against client.
  • Regularly appeared before the Superior Court of New Jersey (all counties), New York (various counties), N.J. and N.Y. Federal District Court, including the appellate courts of those jurisdictions.
  • Former Chair of District X Attorney Ethics Committee, responsible for management and supervision of 45 attorneys, scheduling hearings, conducting investigations, compliance and reporting to N.J. Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Ethics in Trenton, New Jersey.
  • Author and lecturer on attorney ethics, business litigation, and solo law practice, NJ ICLE, MCBA, NJSBA, for the New Jersey Law Journal (2009), New Jersey Lawyer Magazine (2009) and for The Morris Lawyer (2009).
